Last Saturday, we were set to meet at Trinity Bellwoods Park once more, but the moody weather made it difficult. Luckily our plan B worked out great: we met in a cafe nearby.
We had more than 10 attendees this week, and our new volunteer, Precious, joined us for the first time. The topics we decided to talk about were:

Finding Our Place in the Universe (Beyond Pure Materialism)
Two very different topics that led to interesting conversations. While the group focusing on sustainability took a more systematic approach, the other group took a more creative one, framing the question as "How would we sell all of this to aliens?"

Making Toronto a More Sustainable/Green City
The sustainability group looked at how Toronto could become greener through policy, infrastructure, and everyday choices. Ideas ranged from better public transit and cycling lanes to reducing waste and supporting local food systems.
Finding Our Place in the Universe (Beyond Pure Materialism)
The other group explored what gives life meaning when we look beyond material success. Using the playful framing of "selling Earth to aliens," they discussed how we might articulate purpose, connection, and wonder to someone with no shared context.
The Results
