The Modern Agora @ Trinity Bellwoods Park

    July 25, 2026

We had great conditions at our first outdoor Agora - near perfect weather accompanied us through Saturday morning and afternoon in Trinity Bellwoods Park.

Also, we gave a warm welcome to the first-timers: five people joined an Agora for the very first time, and each of them brought unique perspectives and ideas as well as diverse backgrounds. As we strive to be a platform for every citizen, we are more than happy to continue seeing the growth of our community.

The conversations don't stop here. Threads from the Agora will move into our next conversation and one concrete initiative is coming up soon!

    What we discussed

We had deep discussions on attachment styles - how we form them, how they shape our relationships, and how to distinguish healthy from unhealthy attachments. Another group exchanged thoughts on the idea of adopting an analog lifestyle. They started with what analog really means in a modern world and how to find the “golden mean” between implementing healthy analog tools while leveraging the digital ones. Finally, we talked about building bridges between cultures in a city as diverse as Toronto and how we can move from a superficial understanding into a deeper knowledge and immersion without stepping (too far) into cultural appropriation.

A new initiative in the making

One of the most exciting things about an Agora is when a conversation turns into an initiative. One attendee wants to form a group of people who want to explore and immerse themselves in new cultures - not as “tourists”, but as participants: shared meals, cultural site visits, and honest conversations with people whose backgrounds differ from their own. If that sounds like something you would want to be part of, stay tuned for more information on this initiative.
